Summer Spotlight: A Showcase of Talent by Parampara – Arts and Expression Club
Our school’s Parampara – Arts and Expression Club proudly presented “Summer Spotlight,” a vibrant showcase of our students’ diverse talents. The event was a morning filled with captivating performances and engaging presentations.
The agenda was packed with a variety of cultural and academic displays. The program commenced with a Prayer Song by the High School students, followed by a Welcome Dance by Gayathri from Class V and a Welcome Speech by Dhyan Shruthi, also from Class V.
The “Culturals” segment featured a series of “Show and Tell” presentations, including Krithish from Class I, and Hindi presentations by Mehwish (Mango), Ayushi (Strawberry), Anushka (Grapes), Amirtharasan (Tree), and Yayathi (Mango) from Class II. English speeches were delivered by Ameera (Class III) on Deforestation and Iniyan (Class III) on Natural Disasters, and Clement Joshua (Class V) on the Importance of Education and Dhyan Shruthi (Class V) on Pollution. Saradha from Class IV presented an English Oratorical on Climate Change.
Debates were a key highlight, with High School students engaging in Tamil debates on topics such as extending/shortening seasonal holidays and the comparison of home food versus restaurant food, as well as English debates on the necessity of homework and the importance of grammar in communication. Class VII students also participated in an English debate on the topic “Homework is necessary or not” and Class VI students participated in a Tamil debate on “வீட்டுஉணவு VS வெளிஉணவு எது சிறந்தது ?”. Additionally, High School students debated the topic “இணையவழி வகுப்பு Vs நேரடி வகுப்பு”.
The dramatic arts also took center stage with Tamil dramas including “90’S Kids Vs 2K Kids,” “அறம் செய் விரும்பு,” and “மக்கும் குப்பை மக்காத குப்பை” performed by High School students, and an English skit, “Pied Papers,” presented by Primary students from Classes III, IV, and V. The High School students also performed “The Merchant Of Venice”. Jeyasankar from Class II performed a Tamil Recitation of Thirukural.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem. Following the main program, there was a Computer Science Lab session for High School students focusing on Cyber activities including Coding, PPT, and Online Quizzes.
“Summer Spotlight,” presented by Parampara – Arts and Expression Club, was an enriching experience for all, showcasing the hard work and dedication of our students and the diverse educational opportunities our school provides.
