It is with immense pride and heartfelt gratitude that I address you on the momentous occasion of our school's Diamond Jubilee. As we celebrate 60 years of excellence in education, I am deeply moved to reflect upon the journey that began with my beloved parents, Mr. K.P.G. Panicker and Mrs. Malathy Panicker, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for this esteemed institution. My parents were more than just educators; they were pioneers who believed in the transformative power of education. They envisioned a school that would not only impart knowledge but also foster values, character, and a sense of community among its students. Their tireless efforts, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to this cause are the bedrock upon which Shrine Vailankanni Sr Sec School stands today. Growing up in a household where education was revered, I witnessed firsthand the countless hours my parents devoted to nurturing and building this institution. Their dream was to create a sanctuary of learning where students could thrive academically, socially, and morally. It is a dream that has come to fruition through the dedication of our exceptional staff, the support of our devoted parents, and the enthusiasm of our bright students. Equally, I must honour the memory of my dear husband, Dr. R.K. Pillai, who served as the Vice Chairperson of our school. An intellectual giant, a dedicated researcher, and a passionate educationist, Dr. Pillai's influence continues to resonate within our halls. His scholarly pursuits and commitment to educational excellence have left an indelible mark on our institution, inspiring both students and staff to strive for greater heights. On a personal note, on this beautiful and exciting journey, the second feet that walked was my family my husband and my three children. It was made possible by an unwavering support from my husband Dr. R.K. Pillai.
In particular I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of my son, K.T. Pillai who continues this legacy as my strength. His innovative ideas, dedication, and tireless work have brought a fresh perspective to our school. He has been greatly instrumental in integrating modern educational practices and technology into our curriculum, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for the future. His commitment to maintaining the highest standards of education while preserving the core values of our institution is truly commendable. As the current Chairperson, I am deeply honoured to carry forward this legacy. This school is not just an institution to me; it is a living testament to my parents' aspirations and a place that holds a special place in my heart. Every brick, every classroom, and every success story of our students is a tribute to their enduring spirit. Our journey over the past six decades has been marked by numerous achievements and milestones, none of which would have been possible without the divine grace of Lady Vailankanni, our presiding deity. Her benevolence and blessings have guided us through challenges and triumphs alike. It is through her grace that we have been able to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for our students, fostering their growth and success.
Our vision is to make every Child "be the best that he or she can be".
As we celebrate this Diamond Jubilee, let us remember the countless individuals who have contributed to the growth and success of our school. From our dedicated teachers and supportive parents to our hardworking administrative staff and, most importantly, our incredible students, each one of you has played a vital role in this journey. Let us continue to uphold the values instilled by my parents and strive for excellence in all our endeavours. Together, we can ensure that Shrine Vailankanni Sr Sec School remains a beacon of knowledge, integrity, and compassion for generations to come.
We are ever grateful to our Lady of Health, Vailankanni for this opportunity to kindle the spirit of education of the young minds in our care. We also thank and salute all teachers and children with all humility who have made this Golden Jubilee possible.
