Welcome to VAILANKANNI!
The year 2014 was our Golden Jubilee. Shrine Vailankanni Senior Secondary School was founded in 1964 by Mr. K. P. G. Panicker and Mrs. Malathy Panicker, my parents. We have been at the forefront of Secondary and Senior Secondary Education in Chennai for 50 years.The school had very humble beginnings in a thatched shed with 17 children at Venkatanarayana Road and today we are proud to be the guardians of this spirit of achievement and our aim today is to reach the stars. We provide quality education that ensures that every one of our children have the best possible chance to develop their talent and to achieve success in a way that provides them with a purposeful and rewarding future life.We expect and demand high standards of endeavour and achievement from every Vailankannian.
We reinforce this with education covering the skills of social responsibility, self-discipline and self-reliance that students need as they progress towards adult life. Our goal is to produce creative, well-qualified, confident and engaged citizens who understand the rights and responsibilities of good citizenship in a modern society.We provide our children an environment to explore their academic, sporting, cultural and personal potential.
Our vision is to make every Child "be the best that he or she can be".
In the following pages we aim to provide you with a snapshot of life at school and an indication of the way we do things here.
We are ever grateful to our Lady of Health, Vailankanni for this opportunity to kindle the spirit of education of the young minds in our care. We also thank and salute all teachers and children with all humility who have made this Golden Jubilee possible.
